Dear Grandma,

You are a very important person in my life. Always encouraging me, you never fail to put a smile on my face. Although Grandpa has already passed away several years ago, you still are as caring and kind-hearted as before.

I know that you have had a hard life in the past, having been from a poor family and Grandpa, your husband, passing away from a deadly sickness. However, I still want you to know that all of us, my family members and I, all care a lot about you.

I am aware that you are very used to your old lifestyle in the past, scrimping and saving money and never spending it unless there is a need to. This has also resulted in you sometimes not accepting the brand-new items that we buy for you. I do not blame you as I understand the reason why you do not accept the items. Nevertheless, I hope that you will accept them.

I wish I had more time to spend with you. With school and tuition, I am only able to squeeze in time to visit you during the weekends. I understand that you are very lonely during the week, with us only visiting you during the weekends, and you living alone by yourself. I look up to you as you are a person with strong character building, a generous and forgiving personality and a person who respects others and perseveres till the end.

Since young, you have already accepted me as who I am and cared for me no matter what. I am sorry for everything that I have done to upset you. Thank you for all the care and wisdom that you have shared with me. I am extremely grateful and thankful that we are able to communicate well with each other. All your acts of kindness in the past and even now in the present have really touched me a lot.

You have influenced me greatly in my life and I know that I can always count on you as a shoulder to cry on. Your will to persevere is an inspiration to us all and I know that I can always come to you whenever I have difficulties or problems.

Thank you for all that you have done for me. Perhaps you might not know this, but I admire you a lot and think of you highly. I really cherish our good grandmother-and-granddaughter relationship with each other.

You always put others before yourself and I reckon that anyone would be so lucky to have a grandparent like you. I want you to know that you play a very significant role in my life. Thank you so much for your support all these years. I love you Grandma, and I always will.
