Dear Grandma,

Thank you for the years you have been cooking for my family. You cook for us because my father and mother have divorced and I stay with my mother.

My mother goes to work because she needs to earn a living for the family. When I came back from school, there is no one to take care of my younger sister, my elder sister, my younger brother and I.

You cook for us and take care of us.

I remember once when I wanted to buy an ice-cream but I had no money because I used up all my money for recess.

You gave me $2 and asked me to go and buy the ice-cream I wanted, I was so touched. There were also quite a few times when I was going for tuition and I asked you whether you could give me $2 to buy sweets. You granted me the $2. I really appreciate it.

Sometimes, when I go to your house, I help you to do some housework as you are getting old and not as strong as before.

There was also a time when you cried, I went to comfort you and asked you not to cry.

Grandma, I love you very much. I know you care a lot for me and my siblings.

Your naughty, playful and mischievous grandson,
Jonathan Ong
