Dearest Grandpa and Grandma,

I hope there’d never be a Sunday where I wouldn’t need to visit you.

To Grandma, I love you and I admire your strength for being able to continue on to cope with life, despite the absence of your beloved.

To Grandpa, even though I have never met you, I certainly would love to; every time I see a moth fly into the house, the very first thing that rushes through my brain, is, “Is that you, Grandpa, watching over me?

Grandpa, I have heard many grand stories about you and your life in the past. I have heard of how happy you were to see my brothers when they were just born; it was a pity you left before I came.

Thank you, though, for the assurance that you are out there, somewhere, always watching and protecting over me! It certainly makes me feel loved. If I could say anything to you, it’d be, I love you.

Grandma, even though you are a woman of few words, you still continue to show your love and care in whatever you do. I admire you for your strength!

Even though many of us have never met Grandpa, you still continue on and live your life with joy. I admire your resilience and determination to persevere, through all these perilous years that you have encountered in your life in China.

Thank you for always ensuring that I had proper meals and was properly taken care of! You are like a guardian angel to me.

You might not notice this significant impact, Grandma, but you have brought our families closer, due to the family reunion at your home every Sunday. It is because of you that we have continued to grow closer and bond as one.

Whenever I see you smile, it makes my heart feel warm, knowing that we have brought you happiness. Thank you, Grandma.

P.S. What are you cooking again this Sunday?
