Ong Yu Ting (Entry #521)
Grandparents,
If only I could turn back the clock. I wish you were by my side, guiding and lighting my path like a beacon of hope. I would like to walk down the path of life and treasure every second we spend together.
I am sure both of you would help me in overcoming obstacles I met, helping me solve every problem I face in life and inculcating the correct values that one should have. Bring me up as a fine young adult.
I am so envious when I see other teenagers of my age having their grandparents by their side, taking great care of their grandchildren, giving them the best with their unending love. It pains me when I see teenagers ill treating their grandparents, scolding and blaming their grandparents for being nosey when all they did was jus being caring and showing them love.
Some teenagers even shun away from there grandparents, asking their grandparents not to get near them, thinking that their grandparents are old and would disgrace them if they walk on the streets together and will be laughed at. However, have they ever thought that they would never have existed without their grandparents?
I would like to thank my grandparents for giving me the greatest parents one could ever have in life. The most valuable gift is the gift in the world that cannot be bought with money, power and status.
