Dear Grandma,

I have lived with you for fifteen years and when I think about them, I realize how much I have taken you for granted, for everything that you have done for me. Since I was born, you took care of me and comforted me in every way possible. So, I want to thank you for everything.

Since young, you always looked after me, defending me when my parents got mad about me, forcing me to eat my vegetables, but now I realize that it was all for my own good. You even used to take me down for walks, even though you didn’t have the energy, just so I could play. It may all seem meaningless now, these little things you did for me, but I realize that in these little gestures, you cared for me and wanted to give me the best.

I used to lose my things all the time when I was young, but somehow you always managed to find them for me. You would keep them with you until I was so frantic, only then you would give it to me, telling me not to be so forgetful again. Yet I kept losing my EZ-link card and you would always find it and give it to me at the last moment. You never grew tired of telling me not to be so forgetful and it was because you were concerned. Concerned about my habit of losing things every now and then. Till today, I have not lost my important things and it is because you instilled that in me. I took you for granted when I was young but now I want to thank you for everything that you have done for me.

Nowadays, when I come home from school, you are always there with the food hot for me. I know that sometimes you are irritated when I do not listen to you but nevertheless, I just want to say how much I appreciate everything that you are doing for me. I know that it is because you love me, and I love you too Grandma. I will always love you.

Love,
Prabhmeet
