My maternal grandfather is 80 years old now. He was borned in the year of 1928 in China and was brought to Singapore at the age of 5.

My grandfather is a kind old men who likes to talk about his past old-time during our monthly visiting to his place. He will also tell us stories how he survived through the World War I and the Racial Riots broke out in Singapore in July 1964.

My grandfather also mentioned to us how does Singapore transformed from an island which has nothing till today we have everything and became top 5 in the world. He also wish he could see the 2010 Youth Olympics to be held in Singapore too.

My grandfather encourage me to study very hard and he also hope I could go to University too. He said what we have today with a safe and sound living place, all these should thanks to our Government, rule by the PAP Party and therefore we should contribute back to the society and carry on to educate more capable and efficient newer generation.

I like talking and listening with my grandfather and I also get to know more about Singapore too.
