I am thankful that you have taken care of me since young and taught me Cantonese. You and Grandma are the closest grandparents that I have, and both of you will stay in my heart forever.
Everyone knows that children nowadays are taken care by maids, I am different. As my father was the eldest son of my grandparents, I stay with my grandparents since young.

Dear Grandma,
Time sure flies, in the blinking of an eye, fifteen years have passed since I was delivered into this world. As I grow older each year, I am constantly reminded by the fact that you too, are ageing. Time spares no human. Today, as I took a closer look at you, I was shocked to realize how much you have actually aged over the years.
Dear grandpa,
I have been very moved by the stories of your experience during the Japanese occupation in China. Your strong will to survive alone as an orphan at the age of about 10 years old made me feel that I am really very privileged.
Dear Grandma,
Whenever I see the photos that we took when I was still a little child, I could not help but recall those happy moments we had spent together and they never fail to bring a smile across my face. Indeed, the days spent playing with you at the back of our kampong in Malaysia were the best times I had.
When I was born into this world on 18 February 1995, both of my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandfather were not in this world, they had already passed away. My paternal grandmother helped my mother to take care of me sometimes when my mother was busy.

Look around us. Everyone has grandparents, who doesn’t? despite whether they are alive or not, I think, we should at least know a little bit of their experiences. Whenever you sit down and have a chat with your grandparents, do keep a pen and paper with you. For all you know, they may come in handy! Here are the memories of my grandparents that I myself have penned down.

Dear Atuk,
Oh the 10th February 2008, you heaved your last breath, it was early in the morning when all of us were sleeping. Since you were admitted into the hospital, we as a whole family sat by your bedside, most were teary-eyed, except me. I couldn’t cry, I felt numb.
