Atiqa (Entry #924)
Dear Grandma,
You have always doted on me ever since I first stepped foot into this world.
Dear Grandma,
You have always doted on me ever since I first stepped foot into this world.
Dear Arwah (Late) Atok,
I am currently 15 and am in secondary 3. I have gone to quite a good school. It’s called Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School. It is quite a good school, as I repeat. The teachers are alright and everything has been going quite well for me. Did you know that for my overall exam grades for the first semester, I had the position of the second in my class? Even so, I am still striving to do better for the next exam. I hope you would give me your support.
Dear Grandma,
Perhaps it is futile for me to be writing this letter to you now. Fourteen years I had before you departed and I never told you how much I appreciated and loved you.
Dear Grandpa,
I have been very moved by the stories of your experience during the Japanese occupation in China. Your strong will to survive alone as an orphan at the age of about 10 years old made me feel that I am really very privileged. READ MORE
I still remember the days I spend with my grandparents. Although my grandfather has passed away, I can still vividly remember the days we spent together.
GRANDPARENT
Everyone has grandparents just like you and I. But everyone has their own kind of grandparents. Some people may not have seen them or have heard them. So I am fortunate to still have all my grandparents with me. I would like to take this opportunity to spend more quality time with them to know them better.
My Grandparents
I am quite privileged to have all four of my grandparents living healthily. None of my grandparents live with me. My paternal grandparents live with my dad’s older sister. My maternal grandparents live with my mom’s youngest sister since she is not married yet. Even though I do not live with my grandparents, I do visit them every Saturday.
Grandparents
Who are grandparents? Grandparents are definitely not just old people. They are the ones from an earlier generation, and if not because of them, we would not exist at all. They were the ones who brought our parents up.
Appreciating grandparents
Since young, I have been taken care of by my grandparents, till a few years back, when they could not cope with the increasing number of grandchildren. I would never forget how my grandmother bathed me or how she always gave in when I wanted something badly.
