GRANDPARENTS
I have three grandparents, two from my maternal side, and a grandmother from my paternal side. My father’s father, who is also my grandfather, had passed away before I was born, so I have never seen him before.
Grandparents. Who are they? According to me, they are the most important people in a family. They are the head of that family, leading them the right way with much just.
Grandparents
Grandparents can do more for us, grandchildren, than anyone else in the world-they sprinkle stardust in our eyes. If you ask me who the most important man in my entire life is, I can say it in assertion, that he is my beloved Grandfather. I have great admiration for my Grandfather. The attitudes and the values he taught me will forever be etched in my mind, till the day I die.
My Grandmother
My grandmother lived through World War II. When I was still a toddler, I often asked her what she has done for a living. She would slowly tell me about her past, how her father died in the war, and her mother who became very ill when her father died.
Grandparents, what are they here for? We as grandchildren should know what are they here for and what they had done for us. We should always cherish them whenever we have the chance to, even though they are old, they are wise people and experienced in life.
You are the one that I will never forget
I will never forget your look, your laughter, your smile, your tears, your providence, your care, your love, your patience.
That is my granny.
I picked up the newspaper on my metal door and flipped to the page on obituaries to find if any of my friends are there. Well, I do not need to attend any funerals today. What should I do today? My partner is gone, my children are working, all I can do is to stay at home and fantasize. I guess I am only waiting for one thing-death. I can’t wait to join my wife.
As the clock hit 5.30, it rang. The pulsating sound of the alarm woke up an old, frail woman in her mid 70s. That woman who just woke up was a typical grandmother. As she made her bed, the sound of her grandchildren snoring would constantly remind her that she only has 30 minutes to prepare breakfast and their uniforms.
When I hear friends complain about having to spend time with their grandparents, it thoroughly upsets me because I know what a loss it is when finally you have them no more. They do not seem to realize how special they are or the significant impact they will have on their future.
Goodbye
Grandma was sitting on the rocking chair, looking as sad as ever. She was staring blankly with a tear in her eye. She was acting as if all hope was lost. Her face seemed to reflect that she had a big frown and her eyes were red from constantly crying. The fact that grandpa died really took a toll on her.
