My Guiding Star
From that fateful day I was ushered into this world until where I am now, I never really knew much about my grandparents. I was not born into any typical family whereby the family members would live harmoniously together, go on trips or outings together and meet each other at least once every single day.
Dear Grandma,
You became my Grandma when you were still 44 then. That was nearly 16 years ago. Such a delicate age. Some 44-year old females are not even mothers at such an age, yet you were suddenly burdened with the responsibility of being my Grandma on 3 September 1992.
Dear Grandma,
Happy Belated Birthday! Not too many days back, you celebrated your 69th birthday and amongst the family who had turned for your birthday celebrations, I was there too.
Dear Grandpa,
It had been just last week since we last met but it seemed like ages! I missed you terribly. How are you doing in Australia? Are you fitting in comfortably?
Dear Grandma Shades,
Remember the older times you had spent with Lois and me? Do you recall … the fun and everlasting bond that we perceived over the moon.
My Grandma is full of vitality and enthusiasm.
As a baby in her tender loving care, Grandma gave me unconditional love. My Grandma and I have a playful, fun relationship which has remained the source of enjoyment and self-indulgence for both of us.
Dear Grandma,
How are you? I hope your health is in good condition. The house is very quiet without you. I have been very lonely without you. Do you remember the times you used to buy soft drinks and ice-cream without mother’s permission? Those were the best times of my life.

Dear Grandma,
If I were to count the ways I love you, all the fingers and toes in the world won’t be sufficient. If my lips were to speak of how much you mean to me, no word would equate what I feel. If I were to think of all the things I treasure about you, my mind would never be filled with enough thoughts and images.
Thank you for the love and support you have given my family and me during the few thorny months when Dad was undergoing a major crisis. Without you, I don’t know how we would have survived.
